MAC Makeup Review

I indulged a little last night and purchased some new make up. I have heard over and over about how wonderful MAC cosmetics are and how I should try them.

I normally wear Bare Minerals make up and love it. Sometimes I need a little more coverage under my eyes and I thought why not try MAC today. There must be something good about it that I don't know!
I tried in in the store and really like the coverage. I have a lot of freckles and I don't necessarily like to hide them but with this minerlized foundation a little more coverage is possible.

Do you use Mac makeup? What is your favorite make up to use?

I went to a mexian resturaunt last week before the big move and also indulged in some veggie fajitas. My kitchen was completely packed up so dining out was very necessary.

Habanero's Mexican Kitchen was really good especially all the different table side guacamole options.
Veggie Faijitas with garbanza beans and spinach, yum!

The house is coming along nicely, work has been so crazy busy that I haven't been able to be home much and get what I want done. Kitchen is done, just need to hang my decor. I have a lot of new things that I want to buy like bedding, an ottoman, a area rug, coffee tables, etc etc etc!!

I will be posting some pictures soon - I just need to get rid of all the boxes in the house first! :)

Tomorrow is the BIG Day

It is the day I get the keys to my new home! Moving day isn't until Saturday. My house is in complete shambles and there are boxes everywhere. Moving is not fun and I can't wait to have renters in my old place and be completely setttled into the new place. Just in time for winter! Winter in Wisconsin is not always pretty and can really sneak up on you! I am very anxious for things to go smoothly and even though this isn't my first home purchase it is definately a bigger one and with tomorrow being the big day - my stomach is feeling a bit quesy.....

Enough about that... on to lunch, yesteday.

I went to a newer establishment in Waukesha called The Clarke Hotel. They have a small dining area called the Black Trumpet. Lunch was great and they had a few vegetarian options! I had an avacado sandwich with goat cheese.

This was really yummy and instead of french fries you can get greens, which were actually greens and not just iceberg lettuce with dressing.

Pretty good deal. I am pretty sure I will be stopping back here very soon.

I roasted my first squash this fall and I have really missed it! Super simple, nothing special recipe. Roasted for 45 minutes at 400 degrees.

All I did was cut in half and put 1/2 TBSP in each half. Squash is done when it's soft and you can poke through it with a fork.

So good!!!!!!!!!!

I am ready to take this next step and move forward... I am really happy but a little anxious and worried that things won't go as planned, but I can't control it - it is out of my hands so I am just going to enjoy this time and NOT stress out about it.

See? This girl is not the least bit stressed!!! haha

Plus I have got my own Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Thanks to Mama Pea and her awesome recipe, Starbucks can eat their hearts out.

I am ready to take on the world :)

Running on Empty

I feel like I have been running on empty. I am battling a cold right now, seems like everyone has around my household as well. Bad cough, itchy throat and not much energy. I am trying remedies that I know have worked for me in the past and I am hoping to conquer this virus!
I am eating lots of greens and soups (always feel good on a sore throat), drinking a lot of water, and working out (as long as I have the energy to do it). I made a batch of Green Goddess Soup which is a recipe from my cousin Haley Montemayor who is developing her own blog and website at Healthy Habit Lifestyle. Hopefully she posts the recipe soon!

The Green Goddess soup is a VERY green soup and amazing at that. 24 Cups of chopped greens (kale, spinach and swiss chard) in this soup & I love eating it knowing how healthy it is for me! This has got to beat that virus, RIGHT!?
(re-heated and enjoying for lunch @ work)
Very Green Goddess like, No?

This would be a fantastic baby food recipe!
Speaking of babies.. I was lucky enough to hang out with my little cousin Silas on Sunday and take him to an indoor pool party. I LOVE THIS BOY!!!!
& he loves the water. He loves to splash splash splash!!!!

Sleeping Angel. :) So tired from all the splashing.

I think Miso soup has some healing abilities as well. What do you think?
Not sure about the packaged kind but I am hoping so! I love Luden's throat drops, taste great and really help my irratated throat.

I am getting ready to move out of the city and into the country. I am extremely excited to move but not looking forward to packing! I started packing some of my decor and books off of my bookshelf.
My living room looks like this....
Can't wait to be in the new place and enjoy a more peaceful life. Right now I am on a busy intersection and can always hear traffic, lots of people walking by, garbage blowing in my front yard is inevitable. I am ready to move on. Looking forward to a quieter lifestyle and even though I love the city - it will only be a short drive away. You know who else can't wait to move....

They have no idea what's coming and the BIG yard they will get to run around in. We will also have a large field directly behind our yard. Less than 30 days now! I better get on that packing.... :o & feeling better.
